Made by vinifying Guarnaccia, Malvasia, "adduraca" (a dialect word meaning "fragrant") and Moscatello — a local grape variety that has never been catalogued: it isn't Moscato di Alessandria, nor Moscato di Amburgo, and only in Saracena does its cultivation reach high quality. The Moscatello is laid on shaded racks for 15–20 days to concentrate sugars and aromas through drying. The result is a bright amber wine, intensely fragrant: resinous and aromatic notes blend with refined hints of dried figs, exotic fruit, almonds and honey.
